the easy solution is use phpmyadmin the export all your data base with all his table in sql file ou zip file ...

cool but does the script give one an obvious "restore" function?

backing up (just the data) with a system capable of restoring as well ... is a much more sensible approach (best practices and all).

there are far too many it professionals who do backups but NEVER verify a restore: which means the backups are worthless, since a non-verified backup method can fail easily and give one a false sense of security.

We have done several restores and quick-swaps with the output from the admin_backup.pl script.

You are correct, there really should be some kind of instructions for it.

i posted a basic instruction set for the sql restore, the rest are really just "copy files over top of files".
