Call garbaled

Postby alkinjay1 » Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:20 pm

Hey guys,

Over the weekend I rebuilt my server to use the newest goautodial release and than upgraded vicidial to the latest trunk release and now my inbound calls sound garbled for the first 3-4 seconds. It is only on my inbound calls and once it is cleared up everything seems fine. All calls come through an IAX2 trunk. Any ideas?

This sounds like a network problem. Does the IAX2 trunk go through a firewall?

No both servers and users are inside my firewall.

None of my remote agents are reporting the issue only my regular inbound agents so I am thinking this is an issue with connecting the call to the meetme conference. Does an inbound call connect to meetme differently than an outbound call?

I had a similar problem where every so often I would get garbled calls to differnt agents with no particular patern.... It had to do with the jitterbuffer. I disabled it and the issue is 90% resolved. You can set verbose and/or debug high enough in your asterisk console and you will see the calculations done in your system to set the jitterbuffer....
