Vicidialnow and chan_dahdi

Postby bghayad » Tue Jan 24, 2012 3:35 pm

Hi;

After installing goautodial at my machine, I noticed that chan_dahdi.conf is not existed under /etc/asterisk/ and there are some zapata.conf and zaptel.conf, WHY? How I will do the configuration for the dahdi if the chan_dahdi is not existed?

If we are going to use dahdi, then why I am finding zatel and zapata files?

Thanks in advance
Regards

Why do you need to configure dahdi?

For two kinds of usage:

1) To do a normal outside calls, I mean a calls via the analoge lines or E1.

2) Outbound and Inbound calls should be via the analoge or E1 line. Otherwise how they will call the customers?!

Do you have a Sangoma or Digium card installed? Model does not seem to be listed ...

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

It is Digium card: Wildcard TDM410P which support 2 FXS and 2 FXO.

Asterisk 1.4.39.1-vici (actually I installed goautodial using goautodial-ce-2.1-final.iso).

The hardware is a normal Dell PC (model name : Genuine Intel(R) CPU 2140 @ 1.60GHz)

Again my questions are:

1) Why the chan_dahdi.conf is not existed under /etc/asterisk?
2) Where there are some zapata.conf and zaptel.conf files and we are going to use dahdi? Because if we are going to use dahdi then why to see the zaptel files?

Dear,

I found this problem too.

THe one ask for what kind of config, and what OS, and what Diguim card or sangoma, I doult he does not know go autodial!!!!

I solve this problem by copy a chan_dahdi.conf into /etc/asterisk, the setting some are same as /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf.t100psample.conf

without chan_dahdi.conf , in CLI asterisk -vr: running dahdi show channels can't show any channles
