VoiceMail number one, then Call hang up

Hi

Im having an issue when I want to check the VoiceMails left on a VoiceMail Box.

This is what happens: I dial 8500 I login with my voicemail number and password, then I press 1 for new messages, then you have the message: Message number one and then the call is hang up and Im not able to listen to any voice mail.

Any ideas?

Show asterisk command line output from an occurrence. Never had this happen, but it should toss an error when it does.

If you do not see anything "odd" using "asterisk -R" or "asterisk -r", try "screen -r asterisk". Beware, though: in this screen, you can break vicidial, lol. Be sure to exit by using "control a" "d" (this will detach you from the screen, and leave it running). This screen shows more agi script output than the normal asterisk CLI.

voicemail is asterisk based. an asterisk module named comedian mail handles VM. it generally stores VM in /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail

Error was that the digits/en folder under /var/lib/asterisk/sounds was empty, i copied files from /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/digits to /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/digits/en and it worked!
Why was en folder empty, have no idea.
One more question and sorry if this is a dumbass question but how can i change voicemail settings to run in spanish? I can think that has something to do with changing the path "en" to "es" but dont have a clue wich file I need to edit! do you have any idea?

I've never attempted. But I do know comedian mail supports it, and it can be configured. When you find out how comedian mail does it ... i can certainly help you to convince Vicidial to make that happen.

Question: For all users (systemwide) or per phone? Or per mailbox ...?

Well I've been searching for documentation con Comedian Mail and I can't find any.

I need to change the language to spanish in all comedian Voicemail features, or at least the one that runs when you dial 8500 and tell you Comedian Mail! Login .. Pasword .. You have XX new messages, press 1 .... ans so on..

Try a VMware installation of FreePBX (it is available in many distros as well as the one from Freepbx.ORG). That should have a language option ... mimic it
