Ring groups

Hi every one,

for monitors and confirmation, agents needs to tranfer calls to other extensions, other trhee users and their phones have to ring at the same time, and any of them can answer the call.

How can I set a ring group on vicidialnow?

As test, I configured the dialplan number as 600 on three phone extensions, but only one of them is ringning.

Or is it other way to make it happen?

By other hand, all the platform is working very good. I have 20 agents, with eyebeam, and google chrome as web browser. Only issue, (or luxury needed) is the need to transfer to other people using one single destination number (i. e 600)

Are these people also Vicidial agents?

hi,

they are not vicidial agents. They only have phone extensions. I was checking inbound group settings for agents but it seems options are for one call only (random, less calls, etc.), and I need the trhee of them ringing at the same time.

By now I have one solution implemented with an additional trixbox machine, connected to the vicidialnow server, vicidial server registered as an UA.

vicidial agent ---> vicidial server ----->trixbox----->confirmation agent

In that machine is configured the three confirmation agents with the proper ring group. when vicidial agents needs to transfer a call, they transfer the call directly to the ring group with no issue... (every day I like more this application)...

It has some advantages if I want to increase the number of confirmation agents on the ring group, but the use of other machine is not very efficient, at least it was a good exercise... anyway, if a direct ringgroup can be possible, it would be better.

You could just add a Dial string(to dial all 3 phones at once) to the default context to achieve this, or in SVN/trunk you could just add it to the custom dialplan for the server.

Wow, I did not receive a message on my email related to this answer...

I noticed transfered calls are not being recorded, so at the end the interconection with other box, and recording the transfered calls with this one is giving me some other advances.
