Is this a fresh install of VicidialNOW? Did you change the IP address? Have you run the "update_server_ip" script?

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method, vicidial version and build, asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box.

Similar to This:
Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X Build XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

same problem. . .

Same question - is this a fresh install of VicidialNOW? Did you change the IP address? Have you run the "update_server_ip" script?

yes, this is a fresh install of VicidialNOW, already changed the IP address to 192.168.1.251, and already run the "update_server_ip" script

yes, there's 860057. . .i created it in vicidial conferences

if you did a "standard installation" it would already have been there.

since you created it, it must not be a standard installation?

it is not enough to just create it in the GUI. The conference must also actually be created in the .conf file

is it there?

pushing the buttons you don't understand :) tsk. tsk.

When you created it, did you create it in "vicidial_conferences" or just in "conferences"?

What ELSE did you do to "clean up" things on the server?

You may want to reinstall and NOT clean up this time, VICIdial is not something that has "extraneous" entries in it, as a rule. If it's there ... it's necessary.

But you did not answer whether the conference in question was in the .conf file ... or did you not delete it from the .conf file?

1) sorry, forgot to ask if it registers successfully
2) your account entry is ... missing some stuff.

here is a "sample":
context=trunkinbound
type=friend
auth=md5
host=xxxx
user=xxxx
username=xxxx
secret=xxxx
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
insecure=very

For instance: how does your asterisk server know where to send this call? ip? host name? crystal ball?

?

AND

Still no "host". Your server has NO IDEA where to send this call. (Dynamic only works if they register with you ... which no provider of which i am aware does)

it was able to register succesfully:
vici*CLI> sip show registry
Host Username Refresh State
878013663400 105 Registered

my problem is if i dial manually using the sip phone, i can make a call but if i dial from vicidial, i can't get through. . .

ok, zeek. you've lost me.

your account entry was all but empty, now it has stuff in it. that's a good start.

your host was "dynamic", but somehow magically registers ... or you changed it to a real ip/host name.

have you made these changes? if so ... i would expect your CLI has changed somewhat ... what does it look like now?
