One of my center dialer is working wierd.

Yesterday when I downloaded the CDR , I found 6 calls with duration of 6 hrours approx.

Today I found 3 more calls with 6 hours durations.

My center says they NEVER spoke to any of the customer for 6 hours.

VOIP provider ( India'a Best Provider i.e TATA ) says their server wait for the terminaiton signal and they dont get it for the 6 hrs, server terminates the call automatically.

I tried downloading the csv file from the var/log but file size of around 300 MB which doesnt even open and hangs the system !!

I am clueless on what to do ?

1) Anyway to search in asterisk the status of a partocuilar number dialed out ?

2) I dont really want to upgrade to 2.2 as I am YET to mfeel theneedog the same. Butc an I upgrade to asterismk 1.4 with Vici 2.0 ?

3) Can this be Asterisk Issue ?

Noone ever faced this kind of Problem ?

So, is it my set up Issue or my VOIP provider issue ?

well, since you didn't change anything on the system (conf, updates, patches) and it was running well, then I would ask if the provider changed anything (maybe with signalling) or if there have been a change of any connections / infrastructures ..

Honestly, I have no real clue. Did you check the logs in /var/log/asterisk/messages ?

I tried downloading the csv file from the var/log but file size of around 300 MB which doesnt even open and hangs the system

If it is not a productive system (or after the shifts), go to the console, make a local copy of the CDR, and try to view the copy of the cdr-file locally with an editor (vi). 300MB is quite large but the size should not hang up the system (assuming you got "enough" RAM in the maschine). If you cannot copy it, there might be a process still trying to write to this file, which could create the system hang up when trying to download it ...

so either your proivder changed anything or your maschine might have a hiccup which could be solved with a restart of asterisk (and maybe also with mysql).

PLEASE wait for the PROS entering this thread before you do anything cautious !!! And be prepared to tell your system version and build numbers (asterisk, agc)

best wishes
