I'm not sure about "good", but here's the basic one: applies to any .iso installation/Standard VICIdial :)

I'd like feedback (hoping to put in archive instructions soon).

You must post at least one "typo" or "oops" or you will disappoint me. So far Matt is the only one to give any feedback on the document, and it's not like he actually USED it! LOL He was just helping. :)

I used this document to install with very little issues. Adding archive instructions will round it off nicely.

insert into `conferences` ( conf_exten, server_ip, extension ) select conf_exten, '192.168.10.XX', extension from conferences where server_ip=’192.168.10.10’ limit 49

> insert into `vicidial_conferences` ( conf_exten, server_ip, extension, leave_3way ) select conf_exten, '192.168.10.XX', extension, leave_3way from vicidial_conferences where server_ip=’192.168.10.10’ limit 249

These two commands just need a ";" behind them :)

I only installed one dialer in my cluster so maybe the fun begins when I add more. :)

poifect!

If i can get two lines of "clarity" from each user, it will grow and be useful. :)

Thanks.

The link is always up.

However; our system administrator HAS locked out some IP ranges due to hacking attempts.

If you are one of those "lucky souls", you'll likely never be able to get into our system without a special request or becoming a customer (we'd have to check your actual ip address against the hack attempt and register your locality in case there is someone near you we need to "visit" with proper authorities after opening up your range :) ).

We have absolutely Zero tolerance for hack attempts of any sort.

williamconley , i have read your doc, it is great, note that i never done before a multiserver installation and i was able to understand the overall process. your manual is perfect for newbies like me. I didnt tried to install it yet, but i will do it soon i will leave my feedbacks n_n.

Just to clarify one doubt when you said in the manual that only one server must have keepalive 5 and 7, it should be ANY of the the server on the cluster? or this have to be one specific server (db or web or asterisk)?

As a note we just released a multi-server installation guide for use with ViciBox:

Extremely fresh, and although I do not want to "borrow" from the new Docs, please let me know if there is anything that should be modified in my "Simple Cluster" installation manual.

If it has become obsolete, that's cool, too, but I view it as a Pointed "I just want to cluster" doc, not related to installation itself. May come in handy for quite some time (if it's kept up).

The options in the new ViciBox 3.0.3 ISOs take care of several of the things that you had to do manually before, so you will note that it is pretty small now.

In that case mine will certainly live for a while yet, as many of the rooms that have already installed will want to "add" a server instead of starting over :)

What can be the hardware requirements for that?

I've just create a clustered server with ViciBox, and your doc has been very useful!!!

for instance, the ntp time server hint ;)
