Hi,

I would like to use Sangoma USBfxo with vicidial and POTS. Can somebody let me know what will be its performance on the following points as compared to a PRI line and T1/E1 card.

* echo cancellation: does it come with an echo canceller, or how easily can we finetune it, using s/w modules like zaptel.

* Does it provide a caller id /date/time identification. Or we need any fsk dtmf converter. If we need any, what is the best model available.

* And finally how easy or difficult it is to setup, any other known issues.

Appreciate your response on this.

:D

thanks,
Tarun

1) when asking a question regarding a specific piece of hardware it is customary to include a link to the item (although you may need to remove the "." and replace it with a space and the word "dot" and remove the http:// altogether if you cannot post a link, the concept still applies: make it easy for anyone reading to find the item of which you speak).

2) this is really an asterisk question and not at all related to vicidial. You will find MUCH more information on the topic in Asterisk forums. (not that anyone would object to answering the question as a "policy", but that if this product is new, and has had 1000 sales ... 999 of them will be for Asterisk users and one MAY be for a vicidial user, or perhaps 0 :) so Asterisk users forums are more likely to have information)

3) I would expect this information to be acquired from the seller/manufacturer web site and help system. It would appear you are asking about a device specifically designed to run with Asterisk telephone systems ... as such it would make sense that the manufacturer would publish this information in order to sell the product.
