Missing DTMF

One of my Client is complaining, who regularly does 3 party Conference using DTMF , that If he presses # sign , after pressing 5-9 times, then only system takes it.

I asked him to Try Comma i.e , and then the hash key but he says its same.

Also, he says that if he enters 10 digits numbers , it drops 3-4 numbers from the 10 digit numbers. Like if the number is 1234567890 , systems take only 12579 or so .

He also tried using comma and the numbers but its same.

Here is the Sip Settings , if its anyhow related with sip settings:

[Fid74_92_9]
disallow=all
allow=g729
allow=g711
allow=ulaw
type=friend
username=username
secret=password
host=Domain
dtmfmode=rfc2833

I got it Resolved.

1) Dont use Soft Phone to enter DTMF tone

2) Use the Screen to enter the Digit and If u want to enter 10 digit number as 1234567890 , enter it as 123,456,7890, and it will work.

3) If u want to enter # , enter it as ,#.

Cant we have "," by default ?

There really is no exact science when dealing with DTMF on VoIP lines. This really depends more on the VoIP carrier. Some are very good in passing DTMF and some are not. Try doing some tests with other carriers and see if you get better results.
