you cannot "use asterisk" on another server without using the asterisk on a Vicidial server.
Vicidial must be fully installed on the server actually dialing. Vicidial CAN dial THROUGH another server (although this could be ill-advised on a high volume system, and pointless if the calls are SIP based anyway).
Why do you want to go through a Trixbox? Maybe we can help you avoid your problem?
It is possible to use your own Trixbox server as a "Carrier" for your Vicidial system ... but it could overload the trixbox server (they are NOT designed for high volume).

tank you wiliam for help...
I noticed that in every call center I have visited the architecture (hardwre) is the same
: 2 server one for trixbox and one for the DB (CRM), do not you think it will be better to separate these two components and given all the resources (CPU and RAM)?

i do recommend that you install your CRM on a different box than Vicidial if you can. it depends on your business model and your budget.
i do not recommend that you have both Vicidial and Trixbox in the same organization. Trixbox becomes redundant after you use all the features of Vicidial properly (ie: why pay for two asterisk servers?)
i have had a few clients that used Vicidial and Trixbox and a SugarCRM server and eventually stopped using the Trixbox and then converted the Trixbox machine into their 2nd Vicidial server (more agents, more cash!)
