Hello,
I am new in this forum and new also with Vicidial.
I need some help.
I want to configure a new SIP server to make outgoing calls.
The sip server has only the IP not user-name or password.
Also the number to call are like this:
5300000-5300099 so without any prefix.
I have tried but nothing it is still saying "this is not a valid extension"
thank you in advance.

1)
when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.
this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)
You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.
Similar to This:
Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X Build XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation
2)
Have you successfully configured any Carriers in your system? (Admin->Carriers)
3)
Have you followed the directions for initial setup (including trunks)? (If so, which version of the directions did you use and where did you "stop" for this trunk so we can help you finish?)
4)
If this is a fresh install and has never been LIVE, it may be a good idea to start over and use a more recent installer. (IE: Why are you installing VicidialNOW, which is rather old, instead of GoAutoDial, the new version of VicidialNOW ... or Vicibox, another installer, but does not install CentOS or use the pretty Agent Screen, on the other hand it can install a the SVN version with more toys and is more recently upated AND is supported by The Vicidial Group ...?)
5)
You will always get "this is not a valid extension" if your dial plan does not match the numbers being dialed. What do you have in your "Dial Plan" for this carrier?
if you have _91NXXNXXXXXX, this represents the Dial Prefix of 9 followed by the country code of 1 and a 10 digit valid US phone number of NXXNXXXXXX. If you want to dial numbers in a different country, you'll need a different dial pattern. Does your carrier expect you to dial the country code? Is it 53? What pattern are they expecting? You may need to change the Dial Pattern to _953XXXXX, but that's just a guess based on a dial prefix of 9 and a 7 digit phone number starting with 53 (based on what you posted). Remember that in the portion of the dial plan "EXTEN:1" the :1 will "remove" the 9 from the beginning of the dial string (because that 9 is only there to identify THIS trunk, so you may have as many trunks as you like, but your internal trunk value does not need to be sent to your provider so it is discarded before sending the dial string to them).
goautodial or vicibox

thank you for your reply.
i am using GoAutoDial CE 2.0 and i have installed the latest version from the web page.
Vicidial 2.2.1
Asterisk 1.4.27.1-vici
Dahdi 2.3
VtigerCRM 5.1.0
Sangoma 3.5.14
CentOS 5.5 as base (modified kernel as usual)
Not any other soft installed in the system. I am using a virtualized XEN server in HP proliant GL 380G6. the GoAutoDial has 4 gb ram and 8 Cores of Intel Xeon 2.6 Ghz.
I was not able to make any trunk configure.
Thank you

Dario,
You may want to "unVirtualize" your server if you intend to take it into production. Vicidial servers do not react well in virtual environments (if you DO make it work, usually your capacity is 25% of what the hardware could do if NOT virtual).

I'd recommend reading the GoAutoDial Getting Started Guide here:
http://goautodial.com/wiki/getting-started-guide/. It has an example on setting up a SIP carrier.

Could we have a little more information to go on?

Perhaps the settings you are using now? Maybe the error reading you are getting when you attempt to dial?
