how to update date and time in asterisk

asterisk does not control or track "time".
what version and build of vicidial are you using? and where exactly do you see the "time" you want to change? (on what screen or as the result of what console command?)

Easier way is to run:
system-config-date
via command prompt. You get to pick your timezone
