Hi,

Can anyone kindly explain to me what does cancel mean in the carrier call status? Also, whats the major diff of chan unavail and congestion so I can avoid these things from happening.

Please see my data below:
---------- CARRIER CALL STATUSES
+----------------------+------------+
| STATUS | CALLS |
+----------------------+------------+
| ANSWER | 1536 |
| BUSY | 21 |
| CANCEL | 1540 |
| CHANUNAVAIL | 9 |
| CONGESTION | 25 |
+----------------------+------------+
| TOTAL | 3131 |
+----------------------+------------+

Thanks in advance

chanunavail = YOUR asterisk PBX saying: "i couldn't figure out how to dial this" (bad dial pattern, no context, missing sip provider ...)

congestion = your provider says "NO! Not gonna try the call!" -> this COULD be an impossible phone number or one previously demonstrated to be undialable OR you've exceeded your limit of channels or you are not authorized to dial on this account

cancel = your provider dialed the number and the call was not answered (no specific reason given, just not answered). Normally if the call duration on this was 0 seconds, the number does not exist.

THAT'S not how you say thank you ...

you say thank you by posting the model number of your Core(TM) i5 motherboard!! :) (every time you install, post your motherboard model number if it's available, and whether the install was successful and the .iso version you used :)).
