I know you can have the system call an external line, not sure about inbound but sounds like a custom job unless someone knows otherwise.

Stage 1: At your PROVIDER, you will either need to register or specify on their system that the call should be sent to your server (which is one of the things that registering your sip trunk can do if they are set up that way). If registration is the method, use the manual to construct your registration string and place it in your provider settings in Admin->Carriers.

Stage 2: In your Carrier setup (under Admin->Carriers) make sure you have "context=trunkinbound" in the Account Entry section. If there is already a context= value ... change it (this is NOT used for ANY other purpose, so any other value in the context= is useless and can be changed without harm, if you are not sure, delete that line and make some outbound calls, you will note that there is NO change).

This will send the call to the DID section in Ingroups. Then you read the manual on how to route DIDs through the Vicidial system. 8)

____________

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation
