Using E1/PRI with Digium TE122 Card.


With RATIO Dial Method, call is getting connected one after the another(from the list) but last for only 10-15 seconds and unable to hear anything .

i note that there is a lot of failed sip traffic.

i do not see an agent logging in to a meetme room, hearing "you are the only person ..." and then a call going out as a result of that agent pressing resume.

do you think you could reduce the noise in your sample, log in a single agent, show taht the agent heard you are the only person after being logged into the conference, and then show us JUST the CLI output from that and the resulting phone call?

have you completed the steps in the Getting Started Guide for GoAutoDial, and then the Tutorial of the Vicidial Managers Manual?

Have you verified with a simple manual dial call (without vicidial) that your TE122 is capable of connecting a call? (which is a function not actually related to Vicidial, upon which Vicidial depends to complete calls if that is your trunk ...)

For testing, you should be in a 1:1 campaign (after your manual dial call succeeds). Reduces traffic, makes troubleshooting easier. And YOU should be BOTH the agent and the prospect to make repetitive testing easier.

Once i login as an agent, i'm getting a call to my softphone and able to hear "you are the only person ...". I can see this agent logging into MeetMe room in the CLI.

Once I press resume on the agent screen I'm a getting a call to the number that I've loaded as the leads but the call last for only 10-15 seconds and unable to hear anything.


I've gone through all the steps in the Getting Started Guide for GoAutoDial
and the Vicidial Managers Manual.

I'm able to make simple manual dial without vicidial and is getting connected perfectly.

And by selecting DIAL METHOD as MANUAL in the Campaign, pressing Dial Next button, call is getting connected successfully but some noise disturbance is there and also on the agent screen left side i can find NO LIVE CALL in grey color.



Should I add anything as Carrier for E1/PRI?

Please show three examples from the asterisk CLI:

1) A successful manual call without vicidial

2) A partially successful manual call in vicidial

3) A failed auto-dial call in vicidial

Please do not do this with a lot of extraneous traffic on the system. I am primarily interested in seeing only the traffic related to each call, and how they differ.

1) there's still a lot of trash sip traffic in there

2) have you changed your ip address on this server?

3) have you tried a SIP trunk?

4) you may need to look in /var/log/astguiclient and see why the call is being terminated

Need to know where to put these line for the calls to go through VICIDial (in which .conf file, under which context)

if you put that in vicidial, it will intercept all calls to all extensions with more than one digit.

this creates a problem, as much of vicidial's "inner workings" are extensions (for instance, extension 8368 handled autodial call transfers to agents). so if you "just put it in", you could seriously interfere with vicidial's operations.

on the other hand, if you add this as a carrier in the GUI (either sip or iax, it does not matter), VICIDIAL will add this to the appropriate location in extensions-vicidial.conf for you. (And it won't be overwritten the next time you make a change, as that file is written each time the vicidial configuration is changed.)

in the vicidial gui, the "account entry" area is written to the appropriate sip or iax configuration file, but since this is a dahdi trunk, you won't be making an entry up there. only in the dialplan entry down at the bottom.

and then it'll be "editable" within the gui instead of using the console editor, too.

i'd still advise not using "_X.", but changing it to at least match the proper number of digits (more like "_XXXXXXXXX" with no "."). But of course you can experiment with that.

Remember that it takes 60 seconds for vicidial to regenerate the file, so don't be impatient.
