Auto Dialing not working [solved]

I am new to Asterisk and GoAutoDial. I have created a campaign, loaded a list, created user group, created user. Now even after the user login into sip-phone and web-agent, there is no auto dialing.

Agent can manually dial numbers in the sip-soft-phone and the calls are going out. Any help to fix this issue is really appreciated.

System details are
VICIDIAL VERSION: 2.4-325c
BUILD: 110430-1924

Welcome to the party! Thank you for listing your Vicidial Version with Build. Excellent. 8)

You should also list your installer version (GoAutoDial has had several releases, and it is helpful if you always list the Version, such as 2.0CE or 2.1CE ...)

Have you followed the Getting Started Wiki from the GoAutoDial website?

Have you also downloaded and read the Manager's Manual (at least the Free Version) from EFLO.net?

Some points to ponder:

1) Does the campaign have "dialable leads"? (listed at the bottom of the Modify Campaign screen)

2) Have you altered the IP address on this server?

3) Has the agent heard "You are the Only Person in This Conference" when logging in and answering the phone? (I presume the agent DID get a call on their sip phone when logging in?)

4) Did the agent press "Resume"?

Hi

I am using GoAutoDial 2.1CE

1) Does the campaign have "dialable leads"? (listed at the bottom of the Modify Campaign screen)
>> Leads are active

2) Have you altered the IP address on this server?
>>yes, but I ran update_server_ip in SSH and also ran the command from the web admin

3) Has the agent heard "You are the Only Person in This Conference" when logging in and answering the phone? (I presume the agent DID get a call on their sip phone when logging in?)
>> no. Agent isn't hearing any voice/call.

4) Did the agent press "Resume"?
>>yes.

Also against some extensions, I receive this error when logging into the web agent portal, though the user is logged into sip-soft-phone "Sorry, your phone login and password are not active in this system, please try again".

Another thing not clear is the different between the Users and Phones. When Adding Phone it asks for user details so I think its adding the user but I am not sure.

1) Does the campaign have "dialable leads"? (listed at the bottom of the Modify Campaign screen)
>> Leads are active
Please list the number of Available Leads from the bottom of the "Modify Campaign" screen. If it is Zero, the dialer will never dial.

3) Has the agent heard "You are the Only Person in This Conference" when logging in and answering the phone? (I presume the agent DID get a call on their sip phone when logging in?)
>> no. Agent isn't hearing any voice/call.
In this case, your agent is not actually logged in. Until the agent hears the phrase "You are the only person in this conference", your agent has not successfully logged in and you must stop and resolve this issue before continuing.

To that end: Is the agent's soft phone registered?

And: Where are you in the Vicidial Manager's Manual? (If you have not downloaded and begun using the Manager's Manual for setup of Vicidial .. you could be at this for weeks ... follow the instructions one at a time, don't skip anything, and you'll get there ...). I've never used Gardo's "Getting Started Guide" on his Wiki page, but I hear it is useful as well. You must use something to guide you through the setup carefully or you may have no hair by next weekend. 8-)

The campaign has over 7k leads and 10 are in hopper.

The strange thing is that today we received the "You are the only person in this conference" message few times while testing. but when tried again after sometime, we didn't receive the error. but the agent's soft phone always get registered.

I have gone through all the tutorials in the Vicidial manger's manual and the wiki.

I'm not entirely convinced we are on the same channel, so I'd like to be sure. At the bottom of "Modify Campaign XXXX" what numbers do you have here?
This campaign has 0 leads to be dialed in those lists

This campaign has 0 leads in the dial hopper

If you are saying that "you are the ..." message is an "error", that is not true. That message is required during login. So ... perhaps you should show Asterisk CLI output from an attempted login.

This may be obtained by:
Code: Select all
asterisk -R
and then watching the console during the login of the agent. Please only post the code resulting from the agent pressing "submit" on the 2nd login page (not 3000 lines of code! LOL).

SOLVED

thanks williamconley

the issue was with the codecs. Some of the users on sip-phone had only enabled G729 codec and this codec was not available on server, as a result they were not hearing any voice.

So your solution was obtained by watching the CLI ... you should post the actual error you saw so the next guy can find this thread (and your solution!) 8-)
