In the following system I want to integrate an IVR where the number like 1234 pressed by the caller will be the registration ID of that caller and depend on that the call will be route to the respective agent.
To implement this what type of change need in the dialplan or how to customize the channel variable in this case?

You, sir, need to read the Vicidial Manager's Manual. I've never actually done this, but it is built into the system after a fashion.

There is a system in place allowing the entry of a numeric code by the client which will affect routing, but no client has ever asked me to do this for their system. But it IS there and has been on the forum a few times.

It may not fit your needs exactly, but then you have not explained your needs in great detail yet (which may be because you will fit your need to what's already there if you can find it? If so, search the forum ... ). I think it is related to the VendorID or Source Code field.

Thanx sir, for your valuable advice.
but, to describe my scenario:

after such analysis, I have found that, all the inbound and outbound callers' information comes from the vicidial_list table. so for this we make some tricks to get these information from a remote database and entered it into this table.

now, in the goAutoDial system the basic information of the caller comes from the vicidial_list table on basis of the phone number but I have added a new column named reg_id in the vicidial_list table and i want to have the search on basis of the reg_id.

so, how can I do this search?
