An error occurred trying to format volgroup00/logvol00 when I selected Expert Mode.

Actually It was getting Installed Properly and then suddenly power went off and then I cannot Install anything.... Cant even install Win XP..

I select DELETE ALL PARTITION and create DEFAULT partition, and while Reviewing It showed me :

Device : VG VolGroup00
Size: 476832M
Type : VolGroup

Device : VG VolGroup100
Size: 476840M
Type : ext3

Device : VG VolGroup101
Size: 992M
Type : swap

try partitionmagic or a similar app. otherwise, the drive is a brick.

How to Install Partition Magic when the drive has NO OS ?

i'm talkin' about running an app from an .iso from which you boot. there are LOTS of them.

most .iso OS installers have one built in. Ubuntu, CentOS, OpenSuSE ... they have differing powers, of course. Sourceforge.net has excellent resources for this sort of thing.

How about if I add it as Slave and then run Partition Magic from Win Xp ?

? however you wnna doit. the question is whether the damage is beyond repair. ordinarily, though, unless the drive cost $250, it's just trash. LOL

I solved it.

I used the Goautodial Expert Mode and EDITED the Partition and made the ext1 100 mb a Boot and It WORKED !!!

Looks Like centOS was NOT getting the Boot segment !!
