Calls from Eyebeam Disconnecting

Postby Janky » Fri Oct 21, 2011 6:39 pm

Hello,

I have recently placed a new office on a hosted goautodial system a majority of there employees are simply using there extensions for in bound and outbound calling directly from the softphone (Latest version of Eyebeam) they currently are not making use of the agent interface for dialing.

The issue that they seem to be having is randomly calls will disconnect/hangup within 30 seconds to a minute into the call. I was watching the CLI at one point when this occurred and there where no errors simply the standard output from a call being hung up. I have been unable to duplicate this issue as it seems to be intermittent.

This server has previously been in use with out issue and i have been unable to find any connectivity issues to the server. I am leaning towards this issue being network related but i am looking for some more insight.

1) Don't bump your own thread (this would have been answered much earlier had you not done so!)

2) Welcome to the party! 8-)

3) if you see it happen, capture the "normal output" and try to find how the termination of the call was initiated. turn on sip debug if necessary to at least determine whether the soft phone or the server initiated termination.

4) Try zoiper or another free phone on one of the machines experiencing the issue.

thank you for the information scenarist

this has seemed to resolve the issue. I have also checked further into the sip debug and eyebeam logs to confirm this is the cause.

My question is what can be changed on the server to resolve this or why would this be occurring as i do not have this issue on my other asterisk systems or my other vicidial systems.

any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
