Hi,

I am a newbie..

I have installed vicidialnow ce 1.3, asterisk 1.2.

Everything working fine but when I login using agent login, I am able to hear ring but when I answer, there is no welcome message "you are only person in this conference.".

whats the problem?

1) Welcome to the party! 8-)

2) when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

3) Describe the network between your agent and the phone. Also describe your hardware for the phone.

4) Why are you installing 3 year old software instead of the brand new Vicibox.com .iso or fairly new GoAutoDial .iso?

I have install fresh vicidial now ce 1.3
VERSION: 2.0.5-174
BUILD: 90522-0506
Asterisk 1.2.30.2
Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM
Single Server
No Extra Software After Installation

Actually I have worked on it before 8 months ago thats why I am using old version. I am familiar with it. I am little bit confuse with new one.

Everything working good. but when I login using agent credentials, I am not able to hear welcome message "you are only person in this conference" .

some times when I login, after 10 min, welcome message started.

When I login, CLI OUTPUT is:

whats the reason?

Something is definitely amiss.

Show command line output from this (single user logging in NO other traffic on the system, not even any other registered phones, to keep the cli traffic light).

when you say local network, you mean your server is also on the same physical network and has an ip address in the 192.168.1.XX range?

is this machine a physical machine or a Virtual machine?

Considering the age of the software, this could be a very difficult thing to track down. You REALLY should look into installing Vicibox or GoAutoDial. Each has a walk-through installation (vicibox has a pdf you can download and goauto has a wiki page on their site). After basic installation the Vicidial User's Manual is available on EFLO.net for configuration.

Yes server has ip 192.168.1.2

and machine is physical machine.

everything was good when I installed and configure server.

but after 2 days, the problem started.

when I login with only 1 user the cli is

You kinda missed the above. there is no cli output showing the agent logging in OR the 10 minute delayed recording.

however:

did you have a power outage?

try running mysqlcheck to see if you have damaged sql files.

Afterwards, follow the Getting Started Guide here:



and nothing can (almost) go wrong. :D

If you got VicidialNOW 1.3 working before you can easily have the latest GoAutoDial working too.

I have a similar situation. After logging in, the softphone rings, hit accept I don't hear "you are the only one in this conference" but everything seems to work correctly.

Is there actually a problem or should everything work fine without hearing this.

I am testing but am moving to production next week.

not fine. that recording is essential. without it, you have no sound being transmitted.

check your firewall settings and sip.conf "externip" setting (even turn off the firewall for testing!).

it's supposed to. you have just left the other members in the prior conference and jumped into a fresh one so you can take new callers.

That's why I was saying "weird" because it says that after leaving the 3 way call but not when initially logging in.

But...I believe the problem is zoiper. I installed x-lite and it now works fine.
