Your goautodial version is not 2.2.1-260. That's the VICIDIAL version (it's a bit confusing on the GoAutoDial release, I know).
GoAutodial is the Installer published by Gardo for the package Vicidial published by The Vicidial Group (owners of EFLO.net and this site!). Another installer is "Vicibox" (And I'm sure there will be others after a while).
So please post your actual GoAutoDial version (it'll be on your .iso image, in the name, likely 2.0 CE or 2.1 CE).
Onward!
g729 is not Free. It is also not included in your GoAutoDial installation unless YOU add it (after purchasing a license, which is sold per channel). There is also an educational version, but it's questionable as to whether it is legal in most countries unless (and even if) you are an educational institution.
gsm, however IS free and included with asterisk.
That being said, and assuming you've actually installed g729 in your server successfully, you must have a "disallow=all" statement above your "allow=g729" or your system will still have all codecs available from which to choose.
Also: FREE soft phones do not have g729 in them (many paid ones do, however). The actual "per unit" cost of g729 licensing is about $1.50, and that's just the cheapest cost to the licensee I could find.

if you want it at $1.50 per channel, you have to become a licensee (costs about $10k to start).
if you want to purchase it one channel at a time, you can try ...
http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=purchase+g729
then there's the other method ...
http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=g729+free

You could try Digium for the channel licences (I'm sure there are many others out there). For soft phones or IP phones that can handle g.729 you need to make sure you purchase the instrument or licensed versions that support this codec. I know that counterpath retails paid versions of xlite that can handle the G729 codec.

But be careful with the "free". There is licensing involved and getting the code from an international site could be a violation in your country for using a licensed product without paying for it. It depends entirely on where you are.
