Hi
VERSION: 2.4-309a
BUILD: 110430-1642
Asterisk: 1.4.39.1-vici
Is there a way to make Sip calls through a AVAYA server? Any experience trying this? I can't beleive AVAYA is not capable of creating SIPtrunks!
Hope you can help me!
Thanks

Last I checked there are "license encumbered" methods for making VOIP calls through Avaya and Dialogic based systems (since they are not open-source ... everything is encumbered) which invoice per channel and have annual update fees. However, I have not actually visited this in years.
The last contact I had that was "Avaya crazy" was converting all his hardware to SIP, but he may still have Avaya installed. And I guarantee that if it is possible, he has it. However, I do not rat out clients in that fashion. If I talk to him in the near future, I shall enquire (or if he lands on here, I'm sure he'll chime in).
I will say, however, that Vicidial is a small community by comparison to the Asterisk community ... you should probably start at an asterisk forum ...
