Hey Guys!

For those interested in a preview of our next generation open source GoAutoDial CE (version 3), it's available in our cloud platform http://justgocloud.com. Signup and create your account (it's FREE!) then login as an admin. We have completely rewritten the Vicidial admin GUI portion using the Code Igniter PHP Framework. Basic functionalities (campaigns, users, scripts, inbound, dashboard, reports and etc) are finished. Some new features are also available (wizard - campaigns, users, scripts and etc). Check them out.

Target release for GoAutoDial CE v3 is December 2012.

where could we find the lastest version to download ? I saw a version 2.1 for a while, but you are running a version 2.4 on the cloud, isn't it ?

where could we find the 2.4? does it include the cloud fetaure like the "easy" broadcast pages, and the admin GUI ?

There is no GoAutoDial 2.4. Our cloud platform is based on our 64bit GoAutoDial 2.1. As I mentioned in the post, the rewriten admin GUI will be available in GoAutoDial 3.0.

I like the dashboard, is it editable?

You can re-arrange the widgets via drag and drop. If that's what you mean by editable.

Add new widgets, too? Modify the content preferences somewhat? (Like lookback period for sales ...)

Do that means the autodial 3.0 will be available for the community to download in december ?

I am quite impressed by the work and I would like to know what is relevant to the open source and waht is not ?
If there is any part no open source, what will be the price of this component ?

Yep! Widgets can be added or taken out on the dashboard. And there's a content preference icon in the upper right corner. All a click away.

Excellent. How about security? Is it fairly tight? Everyone has had issues in the last couple years, and our solution was whitelist ...

All the GoAutoDial CE releases has basic security in-terms of active IPtables. It's really up to the user to harden their system and change the default passwords. There are tonnes of documentation available on the internet on how to harde CentOS based servers.

Integration does not happen in the "Installer" (which is what GoAutoDial is ...). Although GoAutoDial and Vicibox have included the "installation package" for vTiger with appropriate parameters for the Vicidial Integration to work ... The previous integration of Vicidial and vTiger was done inside Vicidial and it is no longer being maintained.

In other words: It is possible (when gardo answers) that vTiger may be included on the disk, but not actually "installed". And it is most likely that the very old integration with vTiger 5.1 is still all there is.

Ask yourself what "integration" requires (syncing users? Pushing records from Vicidial into vTiger? looking up vTiger records?) and consider having those features upgraded to a newer vTiger integration by The Vicidial Group (or a 3rd party) to meet your needs. But don't count on it already being there ... and certainly not for a newer version of vTiger than 5.1 which is very old.

"the interface"? If by this you mean VICIDIAL, there already is, but for that you need get into the Vicidial board and look up the instructions for language conversion.

If, however, you mean the GoAutoDial installer (with some of the cool, pretty touches Gardo has added ... that "enhance" Vicidial): I cannot say.

We're working on having it multi-language ready. Want to contribute on some of the translations?

Users using the 64bit GoAutoDial will be able to upgrade to the latest version by running "yum upgrade". This won't be available for the 32bit GoAutoDial CE 2.1 (since it's not possible to upgrade from 32bit to 64bit without reformatting and reinstalling).

Did you just say there will be no 32-bit GoAutoDial 3.0?

We will discontinue the 32-bit ISO and focus on the 64-bit. Most x86 hardware are 64-bit nowadays.

So much for the cheapskate who wants to fire up with an old P4. (But there is still Vicibox, I guess!)

I'm using only HP Generation 3 servers in my setup, its 32bit Xeon processors in those.
And I love them, excellent hardware for a small (~10 agents) call-center.

No problem for me because I'm on vicibox, but just saying, don't underestimate the power of the 32bit processors

I didn't think there were 32bit Xeons. LOL (I guess I never noticed any Xeon processors until recently ...)

We need to push back the release date to February. Blame it on the holiday season last year.

Out of interest what Vicidial SVN and database schema will this be running on?

It's still running on an old SVN version (the one that came with GoAutoDial CE 2.1). However, the final ISO should have the latest Vicidial SVN running.

Funny, I was going to say the same thing.

Give Gardo a break. This is Free Stuff and if he's off makin' money somewhere else, it's likely that someone is paying for improvements to GoAutoDial ... (unless you think he's just on a Binge somewhere, LOL).

I'm antsy about v3 as well. We use 2.1 64-bit from where I work. Just the only bug we have is when agents sometimes are unable to leave 3-way. So I'm hoping v3 will fix that. But then again, if it aint broke, don't fix it. I suppose that's why we have virtualbox to stress test first. haha

Of course, you could upgrade Vicidial without upgrading Goautodial ... and any bug fixes would be applied in addition to all the cool new toys (but the pretty agent interface would be lost, of course ...).

We're working very hard to bring GoAutoDial v3 out. Still squashing some bugs and making things easier to use. Development is in full swing. We might be able to do both 32-bit and 64-bit.
