Hello;

VERSION: 2.4-309a, BUILD: 110430-1642, GoAutoDial CE 2.1, 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5.goPAE (SMP), Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, Single Machine, Vtiger V5

I know that my question might be not in the right place, but I am sure that I will get the most suitable help here because vicidial is call center product.

Regarding to headset to be used for the agents, I went for the computer market and I found genius and creative but it seems it is for computers, I don't know how much it can be used for phones.

Based on what I have to select the headset for the agents? Those that r sold in the computer shops, can it be used for agents?

Regards
Bilal

The best ones are usually USB headsets with built-in Microphone designed for computers. As long as you are using Soft Phones, that is. If you are using IP phones (hardware phones that speak SIP), you'll need to get one specifically designed to plug into the phone you have purchased. Each hard phone has a specific Jack for headset if a headset can be used.

I agree with William. USB headsets are the best when using softphones. We also have good feedback from our clients using Plantronics USB TO HEADSET ADAPTER (DA60).

keep in mind when you're buying usb-headset that they might now work on gnu/linux if you're using that on the agent computers

The phones are Cisco 7942G and the interface is RJ11.

So which plantronics model?
Or any plantronics will work but need special adaptor for it?

call your plantronics sales person and give them the URL for the phones you have. let the salesperson earn their keep. LOL

it depends on the connections available on the phone, they must match the headset.
