Recording: How to search for files?

Postby bghayad » Tue Apr 30, 2013 12:45 pm

Hello;

VERSION: 2.4-309a, BUILD: 110430-1642, GoAutoDial CE 2.1, 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5.goPAE (SMP), Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, Single Machine

How I can search for a recorded files (a file for a recorded call) from the GUI based on any of the following:

1) If I do not know the agent that handled the call (inbound or outbound call) but I know the caller if (the telephone number that he called us or we called him), how I can find the file from the desktop (I know that I can find it from the linux CLI).
2) If I need to search on a file based on the telephone extension (and not based on the agent) that handled the call, how?

If this is not possible in vicidial and it is only possible to search under a specific agent or/and based on the callerid, is there a tool to do this?

I tried from User Stats, but it is requesting to put the from and to date, and the agent field .. it does not find for all the agents, so I can not search based on the caller id unless I know the agent. Also, I can not do a search based on the telephone extension, it is only allowed based on the agent and then based on the caller id.

Also, is it possible to store the recorded call under a file name that has the telephone extension and the caller id of the customer?

Appreciate the kindly help.
Regards
Bilal

Lists -> Search for a Lead. Input the phone number (or other criteria). A list of leads with that information will appear. Choose one. At the bottom of the record will be a list of recordings related to that lead.

The filename is determined by the Campaign or Ingroup settings. There is a field specific to allowing the formatting of the audio file. Beware "too simple" filenames. ie: just the phone could cause overwritten files if the caller was recorded twice in the same day. So always leave at least the full date (with time) as one portion of the filename.

There is a script to "push" the audio files via FTP to another server if you use crontab -e to activate the feature. Have a look :) (there is even a sample script that will push SALE leads at end of each shift ... which can be modified to push leads based on any criteria, of course). Look in /usr/share/astguiclient and in /usr/src/astguiclient/VERSION/docs for how to use them all. Or execute any of the scripts with --help for the options list.

* This for inbound and outbound calls? Even if the agent was OnHook?

Thanks alot for your kindly reply.

This is for any lead in the system. Whether they were inbound or outbound and whether you uploaded the lead with the upload leads link or if they called in and a fresh lead was generated by the system. Have you read the Vicidial Manager's Manual? It is very handy you know. ;)

I read the manual .. but does not give enough information and resolve the problem.

This what you mentioned, to be able to do search using it, the file name should contains these parameters? For example, to search based on the phone number (the caller id), the file name should contains the caller id? Same thing regarding list id and regarding VENDORLEADCODE?

lists search for a lead is how you get to the stats for the leads. not a list of recordings. the recordings are associated with the leads.

what information is it that you have when you "go looking for recordings"? if you have the phone number of the lead, search for the lead and the recording will be attached to the lead.

if you have the phone number of the lead, search for the lead and the recording will be attached to the lead.

* I did this but not able to see the recording. The lead number (the telephone number that he called us and we see its recording file from the agent stats) is: 25732530 and I see the recording file name is 22281257_25732530_20130506-203252-all.mp3 and I am able to download it from the agent stats but I do not see it when I search from the lead (by typing the Phone number).

what information is it that you have when you "go looking for recordings"?

* I need to reach for the recording files in two cases:

- If I know the caller number (the telephone number that we called him or he called us).
- If we called the customer from a DID number and we need to search for all the recorded files that are associated to this DID number (the Phone extension is DID number). In other words, when the customer is going to call us and said that an agent called me from a telephone number 22281257, then we need to search for the recorded files that was done from this DID. HOW?

From the other side, I am also trying to see the recorded files from Admin --> Phone --> I select the extension and then I go to the button of the page and clicked on "Click here for phone call recordings", but I do not see any recorded files (again, I am able to see these files from the agent stats).

Thanks a lot william.

1) the lead number is not the telephone number
2) When you say "i did this but not able to see the recording": How many results did you get when searching for the lead number? did you check all of them? did you look at the bottom of the lead record for a section named recordings? was the section there but no recordings? or was there no recordings section at all?

your version of vicidial is fairly old. you may or may not be able to see recordings from phones that do not generated from an agent session, but if your version can see them you must alter your dialplan to activate the feature. there are several threads related to recording manual calls outside the agent session so they can appear on the phone record. It's not active by default.

the lead number is not the telephone number

I was mean the telephone number of the lead. Just typing mistake.

When you say "i did this but not able to see the recording": How many results did you get when searching for the lead number? did you check all of them? did you look at the bottom of the lead record for a section named recordings? was the section there but no recordings? or was there no recordings section at all?

The result is long. There was no recording section there (There was no recording section same as the one that I see it at the agent stats).

but if your version can see them you must alter your dialplan to activate the feature.

From the Admin --> Phone --> Selecting the extension and going to stats, I can see the section Recording but can not see the recorded files.

I have now vicidial 2.8 with the following details:

Vicibox 4.0.3, vicidial VERSION: 2.8-403a BUILD: 130510-1350, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3470 @ 2.93GHz, Single Server, Asterisk1.4

To be centralized in the searching, it is not possible to do search for all the outbound and inbound calls, even those that placed directly from the IP Phone from a one place (like search for lead in the list)?

Or, if possible to add all the directly dialed numbers from the IP Phones (not from the agent desktop screen) to the list so we can do a search for that numbers from the list to determine the recording file name?

The main problem that I am facing it for these numbers that have been dialed directly from the IP Phones that:

When I have the telephone number that we called him and we do not know from which IP Phone the call was done, so we have to go for each IP Phone and do search on that number ! Which is not a practical way. How I can search based on that number even if I do not know the telephone extension (the IP Phone) that did the call?

That is why I am thinking if it possible to store these numbers in a list to be as a lead so we can do a search on this lead and see the recording file (same as we do in the Search for Lead).

One more idea, is it possible to make the directory: /var/spool/asterisk/monitorDONE/MP3 as a shared directory to be accessed and browsed from the user laptop to download it and search from the windows laptop? The people does not know linux.

Any practical method?

two possible methods: 1) use the new capability that will let outbound manual/direct dialed calls become "Inbound" calls for tracking purposes. I've not used this feature yet, but it sounds promising.
2) use mysql to search the recordings table directly since the phone numbers should be in the filename (without a need to search the HD directly for the file or actually go to the phone).

* How?

Also, why the direct call does not add the to the list so we can do search for lead?
