Test server

goautodial-64bit-ce-3.0-RC1b.iso ||Version2.4rc1||DB Schema Version 1317||1.4.39.1-vici

Every time I go to create a custom field. It does not save, it's like nothing ever happened??? Tried before I loaded list, tried after loading lists, tried creating new lists etc. No Dice.:*(

What kind of custom fields are you creating? We are able to create various custom fields using the RC1b ISO. Though it still has a pending bug that we are fixing here:

Wow, The Great Gardo. I am honored. :)

Just a Simple Text field, just like on the website help file. But instead of "company_name" I am trying to create one called loan_amount. And it says it was successfully created but then nothing is there.

did you followed the below link for customer fields

http://www.vicidial.org/vicidial_demo/a ... custom.htm

as u selected text and entering --A--LoanAmount--B-- , i think no need of --A-- and --B--

Are you sure you are using the RC1b ISO? Based from your screenshot looks like you are still using RC1 ISO. I also created a custom field with exactly what you have on your screenshot. And it was a success.

Gardo, you are correct! It is the slightly older version, goautodial-64bit-ce-3.0-RC1.iso. OMG, you are going to have to excuse me I have been running ragged the last few days. Is there a easy way to update this?I Fear if I have them format and reinstall this server it will take forever two three days, and I think they will charge me money.

So Gardo, are you saying that it is possible with my version of GoAutoDial3.0 to add custom fields?

If you're using RC1 ISO it's not possible. It's bug that we have fixed on RC1b ISO. You can easily update your system to get the fix by running:

Code: Select all
#yum update

perhaps you should try the vicidial lead loader ... in vicidial ... under "lists" ...? (Load Leads :) )

The default Vicidial leads loader will do the trick for you (http://$IP_ADDRESS/vicidial/admin.php). The GOadmin leads loader is simplified. We took out some of the field options to make it more simple.

you should consider placing a notice about that and a link to the standard lead loader page for those who want more than the pretty wizard can give. simple is cool, but sometimes ...

We'll be having an advanced option for the leads loader so that all available fields in Vicidial will be available. This will be available on or before 4th of August 2013.

my recommendation: create one ticket for each of your items in an appropriate location so you can get help. hijacking this post about custom fields is not likely to have the desired result.

Please note that the goautodial board is for installer related questions only (ie: if you used goautodial to install. But you would post in the Vicibox board if you used Vicibox.com's .iso to install instead). If the question is about use and configuration of the Dialer .. that's Vicidial and should be posted in the Support board instead of an installer board. :)

that being said, here's the "stock" response to allow us to help you:

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600
