hi Gardo,

I would like to install a new goautodial server in our office using our new HP proliant DL320e Gen8 server. I would like to use the hardware raid of the server and by using it effectively I will be installing VMware server first since it is supported OS. My question is will Goautodial run effectively even installing vmware server first then goautodial as virtual machine? if yes, will i use all 8 logical processors and max all the ram out?

This will be my first time using virtual machine in a Vicidial server and I want to know if i am taking the right path. I've already read a lot here on the forum and William said never to use Virtual server in a live environment but only for testing purposes.

thanks in advance.

I know the questions is for Gardo, bt anyway, I agree with William, in our experience Virtual machines are not good for vicidial, but for testing purposes it might be ok, so give it a try.

any particular issue you've experienced when using vicidial in a virtual machine.

I have not, because I only used it for testing purposes. But before I put a vm in a production environment , I read about others in vicidial forum, and I learn from their experience that it will not work

Did you disabled hyperthreading on your server?
