IP info for eth0...Failed

I am still testing the system, I got a new computer with two dialogic cards, D/41E and D/21D.and I wanted to reuse the harddrive with the vicidialNOW installation I had on the original computer, so I switched it. When restarting on the new computer, it failed to determine IP information for eth0 and now I cannot access the vicidial webpage on my terminal computer.
My first suspicion is the change of ethernet cards made the configuration get messed up, but how can I fix this? Is a full re-install of the system be the best option?
(At this point I wish my boss would just hire someone who knew something about dialers.)
If I run ifconfig eth0
I get this:
Link encap: Ethernet HWaddr 00:C0:4F:S1:C8:01
inet6 addr: fe80::2C0:4fff:fe51:c801/64 Scope: Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNINT MULTICAST MTU: 1500 Metric: 1
RX packets: 23 errors: 0 dropped: 0 overruns: 0 frame: 0
TX packets: 24 errors: 0 dropped: 0 overruns: 0 carrier: 1
collisions: 0 txqueuelen: 1000
RX bytes: 3108 (3.0 KiB) TX bytes: 5040 (4.9 KiB)
Interrupt: 11 Base address: 0x2000
I also have a bunch of mails with the following:
unknown remote host: at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_update.pl line 188
Also, I can't get the computer to boot from the CD.
