I earlier bought AMD 5600 with ASUS Motherboard but couldnt install Vicidialnow as It gave me DMA Error.

Configuration was :

Processor : AMD 5600
Mothervboard : ASUS M2N A78
HDD : SATA 250 GB Seagate
Ram : Transcend DDR2 800 Freq 2GB

As I didnt get work, so I have bought anotger system :

Configuration is :

Processor : Intel Core2Duo e7200
Mothervboard : Intel DL31 GL
HDD : SATA 250 GB Seagate
Ram : DDR2 800 Freq 2GB

I thought it can be due to HDD , So, I replaced 250 GB HDD with 80 GB , but I get same Error.

What could be the reason ?

I am GOING mad now

1) ide-cd : cmd 0*28 timeout
2) hda : DMA timeout
3) hda : statuis timeout : status= 0xd0
4) ide : failed opcode was : unknown
5) hda : drive not ready timeout
6) hda : ATAPI reset complete

Just a thought, Vicidialnow doesnt support 800 Frequency RAM ?

I tried changing RAM from Transcend 800 to Foxin 667 , but it remains same.

Now, I doubt on CD Drive as MAIN culprit.

Can you test if centos 5.2 will work with your hardware? if it will test it with centos 5.1 and give us feedback.
