i want to dial all of the states. maybe start out with california at first. I'm just wondering about the channels or lines required to do predictive dialing at that ratio. is there a wholesale place that can offer that many lines for cheap. Thanks in advance.

If you mean 100 active lines for 5 agents on a daily basis then that translates to about 20:1 dialing ratio which is very, very high. In most cases with a dialing ratio of about 3 or 4 to one agent (up to 4 active calls placed for each ready agent) you can expect to need a maximum of about 20 active channels. Most wholesale providers charge by the minute so you should not need a specific number of lines anyways, just have to configure it on your Vicidial campaign.
Hope that helps.

Do you intend to have Live Agents upon answer each call or are you planning a Press One type campaign (play a message to everyone who answers and only those who press one will be connected to a Live Agent)?
Live Agent campaigns can require anywhere from 1 to 5 line per agent (generally 2-3). Press One campaigns often require up to 20 (or even more) lines per agent, depending on the compelling nature of the recording.
So there is a WIDE difference between the two.
It also makes a difference where you are getting your list ... If you are a dentist's office and you are calling only people who have appointments tomorrow ... you will have a completely different result than you will if you are calling EVERYONE in town and asking if they would like to take a survey regarding whether they think it is a good idea to put up a stadium.
