In the REQUIRED_APPS.txt file at the bottom are instructions to install pure_ftpd which is an ftp server that runs on Linux, you would need to configure it for your system, but that is the package we use to allow for FTP access to VICIDIAL servers.

you can set home location in /etc/passwd file to the recording directory but remember to set permission on recording directory to allow that uses.
