Installed ViciDial Now....what next

Hi All,

I have installed ViciDialNow and also downloaded the Managers Manual.

But I still can not get it working.... I guess I am missing things on asterisk side. Will you be able to help?

1. I can login as agent - but there is not responce on the agents softphone.
2. Agent Screen show dialing and waiting for ring... and nothing happens.
3. I have SIP connection/trunk from the service provider and setup in sip.conf ... I can dial-out directly using the SoftPhone connected to the asterisk server, but ViciDial does not do anything.

Would really appreciate your help on this......

Did you configure your softphone properly?

Did you read the VICIDIAL Manager Manual?

Thanks for reply Mattt...

Yes, I did configure softphone. As I mentioned earlier, if I dial the number from softphone it works. But from ViciDial nothing happens at all.

I also read the manual (not completely though), but the 1st two tutorials (A and B)

I guess after configuring everything as mentioned in A - it should work, but no luck so far.

Please post output from the Asterisk CLI when you try to login.

Hello Matt,

It keeps on displaying following lines

== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf' : Found
== Manager 'sendcron' logged off from 127.0.0.1
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf' : Found
== Manager 'sendcron' logged off from 127.0.0.1

But if I dial directly using softphone... it does show the complete dial plan the route...

Right after you try to login, are there any records in the vicidial_manager table in MySQL?

Hi Matt,

I am really not sure wht I did...but now it seems to be woking. My softphone gets into the coference as soon as I login as agent....

Hi...could someone explain how this issue had been fixed? I'm encountering the same event on my vicidial. I can dial using xlite manually but when I login to vicidial it just says waiting for ring and nothing is going on with my xlite.[/quote]

what dialing mode are you in?

check your asterisk CLI and see if vicidial successfully dials your x-lite. is your x-lite properly entered as a "phone" under "admin"?
