Ok here is the thing, i have an elastix server connected to my voip provider,
now i have a vicidialnow server on another box, i have been trying to connect the vicidialnow box to the elastix box via sip and iax trunks as if the elastix box were the voip provider for the vici box, but i honestly haven't succeeded

can some one please guide me to how i can create this type of trunking this is the only thing keeping me from putting it in production, as i have successfully used vici directly connected to the voip provider, any help is much appreciated.

What are your settings in sip.conf and extensions.conf for this?

Hi thank you for your reply, i have successfully connected the 2 boxes, i created an extension in the elastix box, and made a trunk in vici's sip.conf

with the same parameters as the extension in elastix, the different thing is that the register string in vicidial was no like the regular strings

this is how i made it:
register=501@192.168.20.5:5060

with no pw

and also the codecs gave me a hard time i was using gsm and for some reason it wouldnt work but i tested with ulaw and it worked, so i just installed g729 for production and every thing is working fine thank you very much for your help.
