zaptel, vicidialnow and dell poweredge 840

I installed vicidialnow without the zaptel first. Now I am adding the zaptel, x100p. After I put the card in and reboot the machine, the zaptel showed RED in alarm section when I type zap show status in asterisk cli. I tried to edit zapata.conf and zaptel.conf to the sample file and reboot, then the machine will not let me access asterisk at all. So I have to remove the change of the zapata.conf and zaptel.conf. Then it is return to normal. Either there is no support for zaptel from my install or there is conflict with the poweredge server. Any suggestions?
