it always works for me. weird. maybe there are some blacklists involved. try vicibox for now. I wonder if we couldnt get it hosted on sourceforge as a backup? It's a great package. I'd be happy to post it if they'd let me.

we tried it to have it hosted at sourceforge before and they denied it due to being dupe :(

of course you could always ask matt, he may let you put it on the vicidial http://sourceforge.net/projects/astguiclient project at sourceforge, otherwise i'd be happy to post the iso on the Pound Team PBX project. http://sourceforge.net/projects/poundteampbx/

that would reduce your server load and possibly make it more accessible at the same time.

of course, i'd think that vicibox would be there as well. i'd like to see vicidial (scratch), vicidialNOW and vicibox all in one place on the astguiclient.

failing that i'd be happy to put vicidialnow and vicibox on the Pound Team PBX project on sourceforge. Then create a gentoo .iso version and put that on there as well. LOL (because i have all this extra time, right?)

I still say that the time donated to vicidialNOW to make it work was very well spent and greatly appreciated (for those poor souls stuck in the redhat/centos world, someone had to toss them a bone). Even if I don't use it, in favor of Vicibox. Which is odd, because I started on CentOS (TrixBox!) and didn't really like ubuntu at all. Go figure. I guess the fact that the Vicidial Group made Vicibox has a rather large quantity of "sway" with my clientele.

not a bad idea to host them all on Sourceforge, we don't even host ViciBox there because we had connectivity issues with sourceforge on a regular basis.

i'd say it's at least worth a shot. i've never had any problem downloading directly from sourceforge. and another location to pull from can't hurt.

i'd be happy to put them on Pound Team PBX to test that theory if you don't have time to put them on vicidial. it is just a couple of .iso's (of course, .iso's may be where the connectivity comes in, i've never downloaded one of THOSE from sourceforge, come to think of it).

Yep, downloading ISOs was the problem actually. They would just stop at random times, while we could download ISOs from other public download servers(Linux distro ISOs in this case) without any issues.

So just too dang big. And that could be the recent issue as well. If too many people are already downloading ... you may get a timeout on the site. Maybe I'll set up a graveyard shift download site. All my bandwidth is in use, but not 24 hours.
