Help. ASAP! I lost my admin password in vicidial. but i can still access it in vicidial now. how can i recover it.

you've confused me. vicidial and vicidialnow are not seperate "programs". if you're "in" vicidial... you're in?

if you've locked yourself out of vicidial you can get your password with MySQL (or pay someone to do it for you if you're not familiar with MySQL).

sorry for the confusion.

what i meant was i lost my admin password in the web GUI interface of vicidial but not Really ! it just got messed when i tried to use an "_" character on the password. and that character locked me out.

finally solved it when i accesed the database on the mysql shell and changed it. no need to hire someone to do that. hehehe

i expect that in a future version the passwords will not be stored in this manner, switch to secure passwords, but in the meantime that solution works nicely. if you're familiar with mysql at least.

Please read the "stickies" for this forum, they are required before posting. Also, please download and read the manager's manual. Also required reading before posting.

When you do this, you will find that you should have created a NEW thread and posted your problem on it, instead of just popping in at the bottom of something entirely unrelated.

You will also find that you must post your hardware and software configuration (I recommend that you make it part of your signature, so you don't have to remember).

It is also very helpful if your post includes more information than "It Don't Work".

Starting with your configuration, you may wish then to describe in detail exactly what you do, what you expect the response to be when you do it, and what the actual response is (and perhaps why you are unhappy with that response).
