Multi Server question

Hi All,

I'm planing to install a multi server setup and I already read the load_balancing.txt. Ill be using 3 servers for 50 agents.

Server 1: Asterisk/Vicidial - 25 agents
Server 2: Asterisk/Vicidial - 25 agents
Server 3: Web/Mysql

Admin.php directory to Server 3.

Below are my questions.
1. Where should I put the AGC (agent web gui) directory?
2. On the load_balancing.txt it says that "server one has 20 agents logged in on a campaign and the other server(two) has 5 agents logged in on the same campaign" so it means that I need to install a web server on server 1 and server 2 so agents can login there? so whats the purpose of the web server on server 3?
3. Which server should I configure to peer with my VoIP Provider? Is it server 1 or server 2 or both?
4. Which server should I configure my DIDs and TFNs for inbound? Is it server 1 or server 2 or both?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jojo

The agc web directory should be on the web/db server only.

DIDs can go to one server

both should have registration and dial-out ability to your carrier.

Once again thanks for saving me. :D

If you want failover support (and are using softphones or mutli-registration hardphones[snom or Polycom]) then you can register all agent phones to both servers and use Phone Alias entries to do load balanced phone logins.

Actually I bought a manager manual online and it explains a lot about phone alias. :)

If I add a New Phone on the Admin gui, will it populate on the sip-vicidial.conf of the two servers?

Thanks!

Yes, the sip-vicidial.conf entries should be created if you enter them in through the admin.php interface
