I am wondering what can vicidial do as the power dialer. I know we can use the predictive dialer using the ratio dialing. In the Mojo blog, they are talking about the power dialer is better than predictive dialer. I still do not understand the difference. Just wondering if vicidial can function as the power dialer. Thanks.

It really depends on what the definitions of "power dialer" and "predictive dialer" are that you are using.
Also, whether one is better than the other depends on the type of campaign you are doing, what kind of leads you have and what your business goals are.

I would say that I would start with 1-2 agents for the dialing. The lead list is pre-sorted with 90% valid. It would be for the insurance and investment business solicitation. Mojo, the popular dialer services, talked about the power dialer is good for one agent. It uses 3 line dialer and stop/drop the dialing once the it connect the agent. Now the predictive dialer are still dialing when one agent is talking, trying to predict the agent finishing the conversation. How the vicidial handle the one agent dialing if using the ratio dialing, say 1.2 ratio.

In that case, yes, ViciDial can do power dialing, you would just set the Available Only Tally to Y for the campaign.
