I have Core2Quad Processor, 4GB RAM, 500Gb HDD, and Server Grade motherboard. I would like it to use for 20 agents only with predictive dialing of 2.5. Right now I have run out of cash =(. Can I use something like virtual Digium software? I have a vicidialnow software that I would like to install in my server box.

Thanks in advance with your help. I'm a newbie in vicidial world.

You can always use ztdummy.

vicidialnow do this by default.

Great! I have a new SIP account with a VoIP provider. So I will just install it to the VICIdial GUI Carrier Tab and it will just automatically run; as ztdummy was on default, right?

Do I have to add sip phone accounts? Cause when I look at the sip.conf I cannot see the cc100, cc200 phone extensions.

Please enlighten me on this.

Advance thanks for your help.

You have to look into sip-vicidial.conf. I think you already figured out that now. I just post it for other newbies like me :)

if you have a vicidialnow install and your phones are not installed, you may have a "dirty install". make sure everything is there (or upgrade to the new 1.3 that just released!!)

even well worn users get caught with a dirty install sometimes and spend a few hours scratching their heads before realizing that stuff is just plain missing.

i actually do recommend installing several times to get used to it (and to get past the fear of a re-install).

learn how to do backups and how to re-install and you can save yourself hours of headache (and gain the ability to build a new machine in 30 minutes or less, which is cool, thanks to .iso installation)
