Hi guys, I have downloaded new Vicidial 1.3 software. the interface is awesome. But i have a problem i was unable to know how the calling should be configured on this using G729 voice codec. and i am using eyebeam softphone. can some one explain me how to edit the scrpits for calling outbound. i can that my sip trunk is getting registered but still i was unable to do calls.Here are my servers details.

AMD phenom II X4 3.2 GHZ 955 Black Edition processor (Quadcore)
Asus M4N78 PRO
4GB DDR2 RAM
320GB Hard Drive
2 Ethernet cards
(eth0 is for local ip and eth1 is for global)

so someone Please help me how to configure the scripts

got managers manual ?

Yes i have purchased the managers manual long back while i was using vicidial 1.1 but in the latest edition there i think the configurations are a bit different.

If u have old version, u can request for the upgraded one for FREE !!

Have you checked you cli output when making a call?

Can you make a call with your softphone?

i was unable to do calls in sip phone as well as from the dialer. i used the pervious version vicidial 1.2 but while i installed vicidial 1.3 i can see that the scripts at the backend are a bit different from the earlier versions.

i have to check the CLi output again and check it once.

You know that using g.729 is putting a load on your computer?

Are you using it becource of expensive connections?

g729 codec should be installed of proper asterisk version. if you havenot installed it or not appropriate version then you can see msg in you console logs saying translate issues.
