IPTABLES directory for vicibox server

Postby prieto0029 » Fri Sep 21, 2018 4:16 pm

Hi everyone! I am in love with vicidial, it is one of the greatest software you can get for free.

I am using:

VERSION: 2.14-687a
BUILD: 180908-1618
Asterisk 11.25.3-vici

I need to allow remote connections to the asterisk MYSQL database and I'm having trouble doing that as I am kind of newbie with MYSQL.

Thank you for your time and help in advance!

This question is not related to Vicidial. It is related to MySQL, which is a much larger community.

You need to open your firewall (whichever you're using) for the user in question on the port you are using for MySQL. You need to add a user to MySQL and allow that user to have access to the Database(s) and/or Table(s) required.

However, much of this is installation related (slightly) and none of it is Vicidial related ... but you didn't even mention your installation method, much less the version or a link to the installation instructions (if you didn't use a Vicibox .iso).

You need to use 'yast firewall' to open the ports you want in the firewall.

But ONLY for the IP of the person you want to have access. Don't just open the port to the world. Please.

Thank your reply. I used a Vicibox .iso for the installation. I did research on how to open the firewall and allow the user to have access. I'm just unable to find the directory to IPTABLES within the vicibox set up.
