problem with myphp asterisk

hi guys, following the command zypper up database asterisk is no longer reachable from myphp mand zoiper not register.
Asterisk Version: 13.29.2-vici
Version: 2.14b0.5
SVN Version: 3560
DB Schema Version: 1652.
when I run the following vicidial command: ~ # /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_vm_update.pl
the output is:
problem connecting to "localhost", port 5038: Connection refused at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_vm_update.pl
can you help me?

looks like your asterisk isnt running

zypper has the power to update any packages in the linux server. As such, you must check all major and then minor systems to see if they are running.

Is mysql running? apache? Get those both up and running first.

Then check for screens with "screen -list".

Check logs (/var/log/...) and see what errors may be blocking startup of mysql or apache and then those screens.

WHY did you zypper up? A properly whitelisted system should not be updated unless you are prepared for a reinstall if something breaks. As long as the public has no access to your server and you do not employ hackers, your system has little risk of penetration. Of course, if The Vicidial Group put out a cool new feature that you want: You upgrade Vicidial NOT linux. (IMHO).
