Dear all, is there anyone try install VICIDIAL 2.0.5 on Ubuntu 9.04? Is it ok? Thanks!

I believe that Mike got that working, not a fun experience though. Had to use SVN/trunk version of DAHDI to get it to compile due to the new kernel version that Ubuntu version uses. I would recommend sticking to Ubuntu Server 8.0.4.3

Thanks for your promt reply! You mentioned about to use SVN/trunk version of DAHDI. Can it use Zaptel / Zapata at Ubuntu 9.04? Or it should use DAHDI? I think both of them is the same but different version. The old one & new one!

I'm sure you could get Zaptel to work in some way, but DAHDI is known to work on newer kernels, Zaptel development stopped in 2008 other than maintenance, so it stopped being updated for newer kernels.

isnt it just to find a guide on internet and follow that?
Its just a standard asterisk install right ?
