Hello all, I am new to all of this so I apologize if this is a stupid question but I need your help because I do not know what else to do and I am stuck. I have followed the walkthrough instructions from the VICIbox server page and just before the last step (49) it asks me for a VICIbox login and password. Nowhere during the installation did I create a login and don't know what to use here. I have tried many different variations and have tried reinstalling but I still get the same error: Login incorrect. I cannot move forward in the installation after this, please help!

Well then I am even more confused. The ViciBox Redux installation document doesn't have a step 49.

It is either asking for the root password that you would have typed in along the way, or the default admin user password for the web interface. If you do not remember the root password then you need to reinstall, taking care to write it down. The default admin password for the web interface is 1234 with user 6666.

doesn't it expect "root / vicidial" at one point in the OpenSuSE?

This is the version I installed: http://www.vicibox.com/server/index.html and no that is never required per the walk-through instructions.

have you looked at the installation instructions that link directly from the Server Home page NOW (not the old one that you apparently managed to magically link to), these were listed by kumba (above) ...

If you surf to www.ViciBox.com and choose Server and choose WalkThrough, the ones that Kumba lists are what you will find. I think you dug a little much and found an old copy or some such.

I still swear i remember entering root / vicidial or root / vicibox during one of the Redux installs.

try a fresh download with the fresh instructions.
