eAccelerator Issue

Hi Vicidial Group,

FYI:

I tried installing ViciBox_Redux.x86_64-3.1.12.iso and used SVN to try it out. All seems well except when i check the "php -v" it says:
[eAccelerator] This build of "eAccelerator" was compiled for PHP version 5.3.2. Rebuild it for your PHP version (5.3.3) or download precompiled binaries.
PHP 5.3.3 (cli)
Copyright (c) 1997-2010 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies

After a research, i try to recompile the eAccelerator using eaccelerator-0.9.6.1.tar.bz2 and the issue is gone.

Will continue to test the latest version and find some bugs to inform the Group. Hopefully we can have this fixed on the next ISO release ...

Yeah, but I don't control that repository. I've been trying to get ahold of them to see about getting it rebuilt.

you can't fudge it into the vicibox repository somehow? what kind of a magician are you?

wait! wouldn't that qualify as a Known Bug? (with associated "workaround command"?)

The instructions on how to bandaid it with a source install is under the patches thread stickied in the forum. As soon as it rebuild it will update itself too.

The version used for ViciBox is patched for it. It's not an issue. The primary cause was 0.9.6.1 not working right with PHP 5.2. In that scenario, using 0.9.6 was stable. For 5.3, 0.9.6.1 works fine.
