Hi all,

We are unable to boot the Vicidial OS using USB. We are getting can't find MBR identifier error.

Please give recommendations to resolve the issue.

1) Vicidial does not have an OS. Vicibox.com has an .iso image which is bootable (ie: contains an OS), but that is the Installer for Vicidial, not actually Vicidial. So perhaps we'll treat this as "Not able to boot Vicibox OS"? Also: there is a PDF on the Vicibox site describing the method of installation. After the installation, you move on to the Vicidial Manager's Manual, available on EFLO.net (free version available).

2) This is not a general discussion, it's a support request for Vicibox. Vicibox has its own board. I'll move the post to that location.

3) The .iso image on the Vicibox website is for a CD, not a USB. One cannot just put that into a USB stick and have it work. You'll need to put a CD into the server to boot. One method of doing this is to get a USB CD Drive.

4) For future reference, when you post ... try to give all the pertinent details. In this case the missing piece of information would be the name of the .iso image you downloaded. This would include the Revision level and the target CPU (i386 vs x64). Later, once you've installed, always include the installer information and the full Vicidial Version with Build when you request support.

ViciBox after v.6.0 can be USB booted. You just have to burn it to a USB Drive properly.
