Sending the voicemail as attachment to the email requires to install sendmail or it can work out of the box?

I thought it was both. I don't remember any clients asking for sendmail to be added recently.

But your system must be able to send email without being blocked (some ISPs block outbound port 25 to avoid spam production).

Have you looked at the email logs? /var/log/mail

Are there attempts to send emails?

Yes it was related to the network and port 25 and now it is working after we contacted the Administrator.
But the question is: it is only working with 25 port? Can not work with enrcyption?

Sending publicly requires port 25. If you want SSL, you would not be sending directly to the recipient's email server. You would use an authenticated mail service (such as gmail or hotmail or godaddy) and you would then NOT be using port 25 as you would be the customer of the service in question.

But when your Email server contacts an email recipient's server, this always happens on port 25 because you have no prior agreement with that server. You are just sending mail across the net with no prior arrangement. Email is sent in plain text without security. That's the definition of email.
