Autodial overloaded Asterisk

It happened to me 2 days ago, that when autodialer was working it seems to have placed too many calls and Asterisk stopped working....

How can I check if this happen again and restart Asterisk if possible..

there must be something wrong with your configuration . Autodialing too manycalls doesnt kill asterisk Still if you want you can edit /usr/share/astguiclient/start_asterisk_boot.pl and pput safe_asterisk command in place of asterisk -vvvvvvvvvgc . safe_asterisk restarts asterisk if it dare exit by itself

safe_asterisk is good way to recover asterisk if it stop abnormally.

I have one question.. do I need to have sendmail services active to receive the mail

Based on what I experienced so far, Running mail on the server also adds to eating up resources.

I'd rather not have any other services running on the server. I might be good if you are debugging it.

but then again this is a different topic so maybe you should start a new thread about it?
