dtmf key press by agent to play recorded file 1

Postby punjab » Sun Jun 30, 2013 6:48 am

Hi
I am using Goautodial and it is working fine with survey feature.

I am looking for a solution and many people are doing this with their vicidial machine.
Like dtmf key press by agent to play recorded file.
For example, once a call was established, a live agent will click the Introduction button and it will play a pre-recorded Intro verbiage. There are also recorded rebuttals, etc. Take note that live agents are not allowed to speak to customers, they just need to click the buttons.
Like that
I believe you expert people have understand my requirement.
I am looking for guidance.

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) The functions you request are not part of Vicidial at present. You should consider sponsoring its creation (commonly referred to these days as avatar agents) or paying a 3rd party to create it (such as PoundTeam).

It doesn't exist but it wouldn't be very hard to add something to the agents' phone context to do that. Something like:

[agentuser]
exten => 1,1,Playback(welcome)
exten => 2,1,Playback(proddesc)

Just watch out for extension conflicts and don't forget to include the Vicidial contexts too. Maybe you can add a prefix to all the pre-recorded speechs or something. I haven't tested this at all but it's possible you may have an issue getting it to play in the conference. No better way to find out than to give it a go!

Please do. But watch the delay in DTMF execution plus the fact that the client will hear the tones (which is awkward at the very least).

We are currently testing an internally developed agent audio soundboard system for use on our VICIhost platform. It has fully integrated web-based administration, and can be built into an agent script or be launched in a separate window when the agent logs in. Currently the soundboard allows an agent to start, stop and restart pre-recorded audio files from the audio store instantly at the click of a mouse. The audio prompts can be arranged in several different ways with main prompts able to have sub-prompts below them.
